It has been an unexpected surprise to receive this award after the year of start and stops we have had with Covid. So pleased that all our hard work is starting to be recognised and although we are still 'new' to the world of glamping, its a much needed confidence boost.
I am a student, and I felt the Ribble Valley Tourism Award 2020 was a strong way to give credit to businesses and groups that support local tourism. When people see that work being praised, it can push others to try new ideas, stay welcoming, and get more involved in the community. In the same way, Australian book publishers could spotlight travel tales that really connect with readers. This might help protect local moments and let those experiences be shared far beyond the area, reaching people around the world.
