Our Four in a Bed glamping adventure
Book your stay at Little Oakhurst
Picture this. A small, brand new business gets the chance to appear on a reality TV show. It sounds exciting, right? For us it was exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. We were about to be thrown into the world of reality TV where anything could happen. Little did we know this would become one of the most memorable parts of our four in a bed glamping journey.
At first we thought it was a joke. It did not feel real. But the offer kept coming, and we could not resist the idea of an adventure. After a tough year of COVID closures we were ready for something different. And what better way to step out of our comfort zone than to be filmed for a TV show.

How it all began
When the invitation finally sunk in, we said yes. It felt like the right time to try something completely new and see where it took us.
Behind the scenes of filming
The journey took us to Egton in the Yorkshire Moors, Market Bosworth in Leicestershire, and then to Blackpool. We were followed everywhere by cameras and interviewed constantly. Even the beds were not safe from the camera crew.
We fished for trout.
We rode a steam train.
We built sandcastles.
We ate good food and shared a few wild nights.
It was fun, surreal and exhausting all at once.

Welcoming everyone to the farm
The highlight of the entire experience was hosting the other contestants at our farm. This happened in November and they got the real version of farm life, cold weather and all. They fed the cows, helped with milking and saw what a working Lancashire farm is like behind the scenes.
Seeing their reactions made the whole experience worth it.
What the experience meant to us
We made friends for life, pushed ourselves far out of our comfort zone and discovered how supportive the glamping and hospitality community can be. Most of all, the show helped people find Little Oakhurst. Every repeat brings new guests and new conversations. For many people searching for four in a bed glamping stays, this is where they first discover us.
It really was a once in a lifetime experience, and yes, we would absolutely do it again.
